Dr Alexandra Carey

Dr Alexandra Carey is a South Australian specialist gynaecologist with a special interest in adolescent gynaecology, fertility, and laparoscopic and vaginal surgery for gynaecological conditions.

Dr Alexandra Carey completed her medical training at Australian National University and specialises in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG).

She is actively engaged with training the next generation of doctors through her public appointment at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in additional to an honorary clinical lecturer position at the University of Adelaide. Dr Alexandra Carey is part of the AGES, 2024 training program.

She has a special interest in abnormal cervical screening tests, colposcopy, vulval conditions, pelvic pain, endometriosis, heavy and painful periods, post-menopausal bleeding and management of menopausal women.

Dr Alexandra Carey enjoys attending National and International Conferences to ensure that she is up to date with the latest research and best practices. Dr Alexandra Carey is passionate about improving the health outcomes for all women.
